Gilmore Ray (Gil) Flautt, IV, of Novice, passed from this life Saturday November 3, 2012 at U.T. Southwestern St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas. Starrett Funeral Home will conduct funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 8, 2012 at the barn on the family property in Novice, with Rev. Tracy Williams and Rev. Mike Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Gil was born August 18, 1963 in Elkton, Maryland, a son of Gilmore Flautt, III and Kendall Loomis Flautt. He was a graduate of Northeast Maryland High School, and attended Paris Junior College. He was Agency Manager of the Lamar County Farm Bureau Insurance. Gil was a founding board member of the Novice Volunteer Fire Department, and a board member and former President of the Paris Rodeo and Horse Club. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, and served actively in the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce. He was a fourth generation licensed realtor. Gil was an avid quail hunter with his beloved English Pointers. He was a Christian, faithful to his God and to his family.
He married Deedee Milling Evans on June 17, 1988 in Novice.
Gil was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife Deedee; two sons, Jason Evans and wife Gabrielle, of San Diego, California, Gilmore Flautt, V (Gilly), of Novice; a daughter, Alex Flautt, of Novice; two grandchildren, Adrianna Evans and Caden Evans; his father, Gilmore Flautt, III, of Coupland, Texas; his mother, Kendall Loomis Harrison and husband Edward Thomas, of Eagle Point, Oregon; three sisters, Colby Kielman and husband Charles, of Eagle Point, Oregon, Laura Ward and husband James, of San Fransisco, California and Sarah Flautt, of Austin; two brothers, Edward Harrison, of San Fransisco, California and Terrell Kenneth Flautt and wife Hillary, of Austin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chase Lewis, Blake Hadley, Rustin Blevins, Sam Hodnett, Chris Penson, Hamish Harley, Dakota Jones and Kyler Bramhall.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Novice Baptist Church, the Novice Volunteer Fire Department, or to the charity of one’s choice.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Marq Toombs officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clement, the daughter of Frank & Ethel Crow Hogan, was born April 27, 1934, in Direct.
She was a waitress for a number of years before moving to Dallas where she began working at Varo, a semi-conductor company, where she worked until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Charlene and Margie.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Clement, whom she married on June 23, 1955, building fifty-seven years of family and memories, also surviving are her son, Gary Clement & wife Paula, a grandson, Scott Clement & wife Heather and a great grandson, Seth Clement all of Mesquite, along with several nieces and nephews.
Scott Clement will serve as an honorary casket bearer.
