Helen was born January 18, 1933 in Paris a daughter of Lillie Bell Cooley and Willie Stover Kern. She was employed by Southwestern Bell for 25 years and then AT&T for 11 years retiring March 8, 1990. She graduated from Paris High School in 1951. She lived in Grand Prairie for 18 years and moved back to Paris in 2008. Helen loved her friends, giving away many things, going out to eat, shopping, going to the bank every day and visiting with her banker Brian Robbins. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Lillie Kern; brothers Aubrey Kern, Glendon Kern; sisters Rose Faircloth, Margie Williams; nephews Sonny Tucker, Bill Tucker; great nephews Kevin Hunsucker and Tony Wiggins.
She is survived by a niece Cheryl Prater.

Joseph Lloyd (Jody) Henry, 51, of Paris passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Paris. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with David Ballard officiating. Family will receive friends after the service.
He was born on July 4, 1962 in Paris a son of Billy Findley and Betty Jane Burchinal Henry. He was a graduate of Paris High School, attended beauty school, and was a member of Paris Church of God. Jody was a beautician.
He is survived by brothers Lee Allen Henry of Oak Cliff and Jason Finley Henry and wife Jonnie Bankhead Henry of Paris; nieces and nephews Dylan Henry, Brittany and Jordan Burt and daughter Emma, Jenni Kay Long and husband Zach of Pennsylvania, Joey Ballard and wife Chelsea of Missouri and Taylor and Tanner Henry of Paris; brother-in-law David Ballard and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many great friends. He was preceded in death by parents Bill and Betty Henry and sister Billa Jane Henry Ballard of Paris.

LINDA SUE DICKERSON FLOYD, 66, of Paris, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Calvary United Methodist Church with The Reverend Ben Read officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Ms. Floyd was born August 11, 1947, in Fulton County, Georgia and graduated from high school in Mesquite, Texas. She was a thirty-nine year employee of The Paris News and also worked for the Cobbler Shop part-time. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church where she married Larry Floyd on July 18, 1969. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1995. Also, preceding her in death were her parents, H.A. “Curly” and Geraldine “Gerry” Crouch Dickerson.
Survivors include aunts Ruth Shannon of Paris and Dorothy VanSickle of Terrell, Texas, and numerous cousins and friends.
Pallbearers are David Dickerson, Don Dickerson, Glen Parker, Dennis Shannon, Jeff Shannon, and Terry VanSickle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Calvary United Methodist Church Youth Building Fund.
