Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Patrick Cannon & Rev. Bevans Welder officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Tingle, the son of Elvin Clark and Phoebe Lucille Craven Tingle, was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Sumner. He entered the U. S. Air Force on Sept. 19, 1950, and was honorably discharged on Sept. 18, 1954, with the rank of Sergeant First Class.
His career as an Electronic Technician with Varo Inc. in Garland spanned 31 years before his retirement. Bobby was a member of the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Verdell Holcomb.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Walker Tingle, whom he married on Aug. 18, 1962, building 51 years of family and memories; children, Judy Davis and husband, Tommy, of Oklahoma City; Pamela Johnson of Durant, Okla.; Barry Tingle and wife, Linda, of San Diego, Texas and David Tingle and wife, Karen, of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Laura Carroll, of Sumner; a brother-in-law, Bill Walker of Paris; along with several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Brad Francis, Bill Golden, Greg Golden, Bobby Layton, Gus Harris and Gerald Harris.
