Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Bro. Tom O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 – 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Westbrook, the daughter of William Ray & Betty Lemora Reeves Weaver, was born March 4, 1930, in Roxton, Texas.
On November 11, 1947, she married Willie Thomas Westbrook, building fifty-seven years of memories before his death on Sept. 21, 2005.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. Nell was an avid gardener and horticulturist and was known for the beauty of her yard and flower beds. She had been featured in the Paris News with her yard, and many people came to her home to have photos taken for special occasions.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Billie Ray Smithers.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Jo Nance of Houston, nephews, Wayne Nance & wife Shannon of Midlothian and Gary Nance & wife Kathleen of Liberty, a niece, Denise Nance of Tomball, grand nieces, Christel Nance, Melissa Peters & husband Derek and Kara Aguirre & husband Carlos, grand nephews, Casey Nance and Cory Nance along with a host of friends including special friends, Donald and Sandra Shelby.
