timTimmy Chapman, 47, of Paris, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013.

A celebration of his life is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12th, at the Love Civic Center. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.

 J.Daugherty0001Jewel Garner Daugherty, 83, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at her home.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Young officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jewel, the daughter of Millard & Della Moss Garner, was born Feb. 9, 1930, in Delta County. On Dec. 16, 1950, she married John “Joe” Daugherty, building forty-six years of family and memories before his death on April 24, 1997.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, L. D. Garner & Ray Garner.

Mrs. Daugherty was a member of Lifeline Church in Reno. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Survivors include two children, Cindy Kennedy & husband Ricky of Paris and Ronnie Daugherty & wife Lori of Reno, grandchildren, Sharri Brownfield & husband Wayne of Paris, Mallory King & husband Jonathan of Reno, Raegan Armstrong & husband Luke of Tigertown and Matthew Daugherty of Reno, great grandchildren, Emily Brownfield, Jaythan Brownfield, Caden King and Colton King, a brother, Billy Garner & wife Janice of West Post Oak, a sister-in-law, Rebecca Driggars of Paris along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Casket bearers will be; Roger Garner, Jerry Reavis, Benny Brothers, John Proctor, Vernon Carter and Colton Walls.

CAM00027-1JUDY BASHAM, 52, of Paris, passed from this life suddenly on Thursday December 5, 2013 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Following cremation arrangements by Starrett Funeral Home, the family will conduct graveside rites at 3:00 p.m. Friday December 13, 2013 in the Lake Creek Cemetery with Jack Hoskins officiating.

Judy was born August 16, 1961 in Paris, a daughter of Lloyd Collis and Barbara Gentry Hayles. She attended Paris schools, and was a mother and homemaker. She married Stacey Basham in 1980, and he preceded her in death in 2001.

In addition to her husband Stacey, she was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include three children, Joyce Hayles, Brandy Basham and Stacey Thomas Basham, Jr.; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Lewis, Renee Weaver, Haylee Weaver, Eric Basham, and Lane Jaynes.; her mother, Barbara Hayles; and a sister, Mary Young..
