Bell Marie Furgeson, 90, of Powderly, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22nd, at Bluff Cemetery with Rev. Demp Greer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Furgeson, the daughter of James Henry & Janie Johnson McCourt, was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Chicota.
She ran the Exxon Service Station in Powderly for a number of years before retirement. Bell enjoyed cooking and sewing.
She married Haskell Furgeson on Aug. 9, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1976. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Henrietta Wright, Katherine Howard, James McCourt, Geraldine Eppley, Dovie Jordan, John Robert McCourt, and Billy McCourt.
Survivors include a son, Mike Furgeson & Lesa of Powderly, a daughter, Diane Young & husband Kenneth of Powderly, grandchildren, Jeanne Porter & husband Keith of Powderly, Chad Young & wife Dai of Carrollton, Danni Upton & husband Travis of Emberson and Timothy Gray, great-grandchildren, Camden Porter, Daron Justice, Mayle Upton, Trayven Upton, Brigitt Johnson and Aundrea Young, one brother, Ray McCourt & wife Louise of Grand Prairie, one sister, Norma Warren of Debary, FL along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.

ETHEL IVES, 92, of Paris, died Saturday January 19, 2013 at her residence in Pine Tree Ranch Assisted Living Center. Cremation arrangements were provided by Starrett Funeral Home. No formal services will be observed.
