Edna M. Towers, 90, of Paris, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Paris Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 11:00 a.m.  Thursday, Nov. 1st, at Evergreen Cemetery with Rick Jaynes officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled. Mrs. Towers will lie in repose at the funeral home until 10:00 a.m. Thursday for those wishing to pay their respect.

Mrs. Towers, the daughter of William Odis & Jennie Mae Dudley Woodson, was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Lamar County.

In 1939, she married Hollis Towers, and he preceded her in death in 1999. Her parents and a brother, James E. Woodson, also preceded her in death.

Her career with Westinghouse/North American Phillips spanned 37 years before her retirement. She was a member of East Paris Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Velma Salter of Paris, Thelma McDowra of Paris and Shirley Jaynes of Blossom, an uncle, Ray Woodson & wife Nina of Paris along with numerous nieces & nephews.

Honorary casket bearers will be: Aaron Bell, Jesse Cope, Beau Chapman, Kolton Jaynes, Ryan Copeland, Bobby Allen, Wendell Allen, Clay Purcella and Preston Jaynes.
