Ruth Mae Hicks, 90 of Paris, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 17, 2012.

Funeral services have been set for Friday, October 19, 2012 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. David Holt officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ruth was born in Petty, Texas on November 6, 1921 to Bert and Florenze Compton Baze. She married Loyce Hicks on August 29, 1942 in Direct, Texas and was a member of Living Word Assembly of God.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Loyce Hicks; children, David Hicks and wife Linda, Edward Hicks and wife Renae and Sonia Posey; grandchildren, Marty Hicks and wife Cindy, Tracy Denny and husband Todd, Tonya Bult and husband Richard, Shawn Hicks, Amber Hicks, Michelle Trace and husband Bryan; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Florenze Base; grandchildren, Krystal Renea Woodard, Patrick Shane Shoemate, Jason Eric Hicks; two brothers and three sisters.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Charles Hicks, Justin Hicks, Marty Hicks, Shawn Hicks, Todd Denny and Ronnie Crabb.

The family wants to give a special thank you to the staff at Paris Healthcare Center and Legacy Hospice for their love and care.
