Charles Ray McEwin, 77, of Powderly, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012, at his home.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19th, at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Mike Redus officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. McEwin, the son of Henry & Lillie Mae McEwin, was born Aug. 14, 1935, in Paris.
On Sept. 3, 1955, he married Margaret Hamil, and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2008.
Charles was a longtime fireman and retired from the Paris Fire Dept. He was a member of Springlake Baptist Church, the Elks Lodge & the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include his brother, Henry McEwin & wife Mary of Weatherford, two nephews, Jeff & Greg McEwin along with a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Paris Animal Shelter, 1600 Clement Rd., Paris, TX 75460.
