MARK LEE EVANS, 62, of Paris, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler,Texas after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 10, 2012 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating. No formal visitation hour will be observed. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Mark was born August 2, 1950 in Paris to Roger Lee and Lois Townsend Evans. He attended Paris schools and was a life long member of First Baptist Church. He was a member of a Ham Radio Club for many years and loved golf, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He had resided at Paris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center since 2005.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Larry Lee Evans. Survivors include his sister, Randle Evans Wiggins and husband, Ed; nephews, Greg Wiggins, wife Rebekah and children Carlee and Zachary of The Woodlands,Texas and Matt Wiggins, wife LaQuinta and children Nathan and Jesse ofGreenwood,South Carolina; plus cousins in the Dallas area and California. He was especially close to cousins, Marsha and Rodney Keeling of Kemp,Texasand Diane and Bob Clinger of Dallas,Texas.
