Hazel Louise Leathers, 92, of Weatherford, formerly of Paris died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Weatherford.
Graveside services are set for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Glynn Vickers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. till 11:30 A.M. Saturday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home where online condolences may be sent by visiting www.fry-gibbs.com.
Louise was born December 14, 1919 in Pecan Gap, Texas to Hershell Edwin and Mattie Mae Claiborne Walker. She married Buford Leathers on September 4, 1942 in Hugo, Oklahoma. The day she died they would have been married 70 years. She worked for the Pecan Gap Post Office and for Belk Department Store in Paris. Louise and Buford were members of Calvary United Methodist Church for many years. The Leathers lived in Paris for 47 years prior to moving to be near family in Weatherford.
Louise is survived by her son Ronnel Wayne Leathers of Poolville, Texas; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse Buford Leathers, daughter Margaret Wilson, son Mitchell Leathers, and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Leathers, Jon Oppenheimer, Mark Russel Robinius, Aaron Harper, Justin Baker, and Larry Wilson.
