Cecil L. Miller, 71, of Paris, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30th, at Providence Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Blake officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Cecil, the son of Cecil Edward & Marie Kelley Miller, was born Feb. 12, 1941, in Lamar County.
He served in the U. S. Army before beginning his career as a truck driver which spanned twenty-years. He then operated A & B Plumbing for a number of years before retiring. He then began helping his brother, Tom, with delivery of quarter horses across the country. He enjoyed raising cattle and horses.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daron Lee Miller, and his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Terry Reeves of Paris, a granddaughter, Danni Furgeson Upton & husband Travis of Direct, two great grandchildren, Daron Michael Justice and Mayle Jo Upton, three brothers, Charles Miller & wife Barbara of Paris, Tom Miller & wife Barbara of Kaufman and Jerry Miller & wife Francis of Petrolia, along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.

Margaret Imagene Roberson King, 89, of Howland, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28th, at McDonald Cemetery with Rev. Jim Semple officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. King, the daughter of Charles & Gus Coward Roberson, was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She graduated from Paris Junior College. She retired from the cafeteria at Chisum School and was affectionately known by all as “Granny King”. She was a member of Midway Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Dale King, on July 18, 2002, her parents, brothers, Wayne Roberson and J. D. Roberson and sisters, Ruth Daughtrey and Ruby Smyers.
Survivors include daughters, Margaret Dicken of Broadway, Marjorie Ford & husband Henry of Pinhook, Judy Mashburn & husband Joe Don of Howland, and Katy Peterson of Ft. Worth, grandchildren, Pam Ford of El Cajon, CA, Travis Ford & David Ford both of Pinhook, Jody & Joe Neal Hostetler of Howland, Kristi & Michael Townes of Howland, Donna Boswell of Howland, Ron Dicken of New Boston, Mike King & wife Tina of Blossom, & Ben Dicken of Broadway, great grandchildren, Hunter Hendrick of AL, Matthew Cannada of Howland, Jeffrey Hostetler, Wesley Hostetler & Aaron Hostetler all of Howland, Sierra Hurley of Paris, Pecos Hurley of Howland, and Canyon Boswell & Jacob Boswell both of Howland, brother V. C. Allison of Ft. Worth, brother-in-law, H. B.
