Virginia Lee Cummings, 83, of Paris, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cummings, the daughter of Morris & Bertie Stewart Kyle, was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Minter. She married Muncie Hubbard Cummings in 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1985.

She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved her family; children, grandchildren & great grandchildren were the light of her life. Mrs. Cummings enjoyed fishing and helping others.

She and her husband owned and operated Alexander’s Bicycle Shop.

Survivors include three children, Patricia Minter & husband Bobby of Reno, Diana Rayburn of Reno and Jerry Cummings & wife Cheryl of Paris, eight grandchildren, Tommy Minter & wife Delanna, Missy Fox & husband Michael, Tammy Boehler, Cynthia Brown, Kevin Rayburn, Christie Walston & husband Chris, Michael Cummings & wife Angelia and Niki McClintock & husband Wyatt, 19 great grandchildren, special nieces, Kathy Pruitt & Brenda Story, special friends, Robyn Jackson & Debbie McEntyre along with a host of friends and her church family.
