Nancy Bell Long Wear passed from this life on August 16, 2012 at Paris Regional Medical Center into the arms of her Lord and Savior after a long illness. Funeral services will be at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M. Sunday Aug. 19, with Bro. Larry Young officiating. Burial will follow in Providence cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday 6-8 p.m.

She was born Aug. 5, 1923 in Chicota, Texas a daughter of Jonathan Levy and Rosie Lee Corn Long. She married Billy J. Wear on September 15, 1967 in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker, Christian, and a member of Lifeline Worship Center church in Reno.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 brothers Houston, Monroe, Bill, John, Charley and Tom Long.

She is survived by her husband Billy J. Wear and one great-nephew, Steven “Pete” Fernandez and wife Marla and their children Kaylin, Clay, Ashley and Autum of Arkansas whom she reared from infant; a sister Minnie Lee Gaines of Fort Smith, Arkansas and surviving in-laws, Melvin Wear and wife Wanda, Raymond Wear and wife Lisa, Don Wear and wife Ruth, Bobby Wear and wife Joy, Greta Baker and husband Bobby, Juanita Wear, Lemmie Chennault, and Mavis Long. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephew, great-nieces and great-nephew.

Pallbearers will be Ross Miller, Lyle Young, Jerry Young, Bobby Pomroy, Corey May, and Corey Scroggins with honorary pallbearer being Ronnie Bolton.

Cherry Lynn Smith Lester, 65, of Paris, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012, at her home.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21st, at Detroit Cemetery with Rev. Scotty Parnell officiating. The family will receive friends from

6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Cherry, the daughter of Isac Wilson & Ola Marie Hayes Hembree, was born Jan. 6, 1947, in Gladewater, TX. She was a nurse & worked most of her career at Cherry Street Manor Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Alvin Lee Smith, a grandson, Derek Ray Ballard,  and a brother, Jackie Ray Hembree.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Lester, three children, James Smith & wife Kellie, Shirley Harris & husband George and Robert D. Smith & wife Laura all of Paris, two step-children, Rufus Charles Lester & wife Nancy of Sumner and John Robert Lester of Oklahoma, nineteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren along with two sisters, Sandy Campbell & husband Bobby and Glenda Gonzales all of Cooper.

Casket bearers will be: James Smith, Robert D. Smith, Jeremy Smith, Landon Smith and Ryan Smith.

Nancy Butler, 51 of Deport, passed away August 16, 2012 in the arms of her husband of 31 years, Larry Gene Butler.

Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Cuthand Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Bill Dickey officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

She was a Dallas Cowboys fan.  She loved to fish, listen to music, dance, spend time with her grandkids and living in the country in Deport.

She is survived by her husband; children, Oscar James Head, Jason Earl Lawson and wife Jency, Amy Nell Hartgroves and husband Chris; grandchildren, Meagan Grace Lawson, Jessie Scott Davis and William Clay Hartgroves; mother, Clara Nell Rorie; siblings, Linda and Howard Bost, Andrea and Shad Wilson, Arvis Head.

She was preceded in death by her father, A.J. Head; sister, Lucinda May Ogletree.
