JOHN LARRY REAVES, 65, of Benbrook, passed from this life Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Benbook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Benbrook. Starrett Funeral Home will conduct graveside rites at 4:00 p.m. Sunday July 22, 2012 at Hopewell Cemetery, with Rev. Ed Dodd officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

John was born November 29, 1946 in Paris, a son of Alvin John and Billie Jean Watkins Reaves. He attended Paris High School, then entered the U.S. Navy, where he served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vicki Hart, and his step-mother, Marie Reaves.

Survivors include a son, Jason Reaves, of Garland; three brothers, Rodney Dale Nunez, Sr., John B. Nunez, and Mike Denham; three sisters, Brenda Nunez, Vickie Diane Mobley, and Tonya Stane; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
