Martha Brockway Maxfield, 94, of Paris passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 in Legend’sHealthcareCenter.

She was born on June 16, 1918 in Lamar County a daughter of James F. and Bertie Williams Musick. Mrs. Maxfield was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church. In 1933 in Paris she married Jimmy Brockway who preceded her in death on August 31, 1964. On November 21, 1966 she married Rex Maxfield in Antlers,Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1994. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter Martha Ann Brockway; her parents; brothers Carl Musick, Curtis Musick, Robert Musick; sisters Dorothy Musick, Ruby Fleming, Mildred Seals, Clara Mellonkoff, and Velma Wallace.

Survivors include her son James Brockway and wife Mary; grandchildren Elizabeth Kaye Jenkins and husband Kevin and Mark Brockway and Katina; great-grandchildren Kristen Jenkins Archer and husband Jeremy, Kasey Jenkins Black and husband Robert, Shelby Brockway, and Trevor Brockway; great-great grandchildren Brandt, Bryce, Breann Archer and Jacob Black.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Harley Stripland officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with Tim Barnett, Mark Brockway, Jeremy Archer, Brandon Fleming, Keith Brockway, Stuart Keys, James D. Brockway, and Robert Black serving as pallbearers.
