George Allen Guilliams, 67, of Blossom, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012, at his home.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 6th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Fangio officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

George Allen, the son of Oswald “Bugs” Guilliams and Ida Mae Lowrey Guilliams, was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Paris.

He attended Paris High School.  George played Little League & Pony League Baseball.

During the Vietnam War he served in the U. S. Army being stationed in Germany. Following his honorable discharge from the military he became a truck driver and retired from Yellow Freight. He enjoyed farming & ranching. He also had a love of music and had been a part of the Paris Quintet.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Paris.

His father, Oswald “Bugs” Guilliams and his mother, Ida Mae Smith preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Greta Moore of Clarksville and Sabrina Day & husband Jeff of Blossom, grandchildren, Kaitlin Baird & husband James, Kelsey Moore, Nathan Moore, Tyler Day and Carson Day, two great grandchildren, Alice Baird and Keaton Asagba, a brother, Bob Guilliams & wife Nancy of Tahoka, a sister, Frankie Hawkins & husband Chuck of Kansas City, MO, his step-mother, Laverne Guilliams of Paris along with several nieces & nephews.

Casket bearers will be: Donnie Croy, Kenneth Risinger, Brett Taylor, Rob Hawkins, Ray Hawkins and Charles Beville . Honorary bearers will be: Harris Moore & Roger Daugherty.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Breakfast Optimist Club, P. O. Box 1011, Paris, TX  75461.
