Arthur “Dee” Houston, 82 of Paris, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at his home.
Funeral services have been set for Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Union Grove cemetery in Reno. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
He married Betty Jean Watson on April 2, 1949 inParis,Texas. He worked as a Rancher and attended Living Word Assembly of God. He loved listening to Gospel, Blue Grass and Country & Western Music. He was loved and cherished by all of his family and by many, many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jean Houston; children, Billy Houston and wife Vicky, Linda Wilkins and husband Roger, Rhonda Kuykendall and husband Arthur; grandchildren, Gary Houston, Christy Foster, Cody Kuykendall, Tanner Kuykendall, Grace Kuykendall, Angie Yackeschi, Kim Wilkins, Rex Wilkins; numerous great-grandchildren.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Thomas Helms, Jimmy Hall, Larry Slagle, Brad Rogers, Charles Ausmus and Brad King.
Jim “JB” Kirby, 79, of Paris passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 inParis. He was born on September 7, 1932 inLamarCountya son of Frank and Thelma Wilkerson Kirby. He was a former employee of Wall Concrete and enjoyed writing songs and playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roy Easley, and sisters Bonnie Spradlin, Shirley Glover, Christine Payne, and Betty Collum.
He is survived by his children Lois Bailey and spouse Brian of Blossom, Jim Kirby, Jr. and spouse Alice of Powderly, and Angela Bedford and spouse Dennis of Brookston; grandchildren Jennifer Bridgers, Beverly Bridgers, Josh Bedford, Kent Kirby, Kade Kirby, Kris Kirby, Billie Jo McGuire, Tracy Seat, and Stacy Caby; many great grandchildren; brother Lee Easley, Jr. and a sister Marie Reed.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Jim Kirby, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the West Post Oak Cemetery with Kent Kirby, Kade Kirby, James Bedford, Jason Sapp, and Jeffrey Padier serving as pallbearers.
