DOROTHY E. RICHARDSON, 76, of Paris, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1st, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Knights of Honor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Richardson, the daughter of J. B. & Alma Griffin Buck, was born March 25, 1935, in Ft. Worth.
She married Paul Richardson in Nov. of 1954, in Beaumont. He preceded her in death as did her father, J. B. Buck, her mother, Alma Dunn, a daughter, Sandra Oakes and two brothers, Clyde Buck & Buddy Buck.
Dorothy loved garage sales, both giving them and going to them. She was an avid cook & baker, enjoyed fishing and was a great fan of the Texas Rangers, and watching her daughters & granddaughters play softball. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include six children, Paulette Richardson of Paris, Willie Spencer of Paris, Cheryl Reed & husband Gary of Paris, Tammie Wilker & husband Brian of Lancaster, Jacob Richardson & wife Cara of Artesia, NM and Brandi Burns & husband Larry of Bogata, two brothers, William Buck of Paris and Joe Buck of Buna, nineteen grandchildren along with eight great grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be grandsons; Robert Reed, Matt Reed, Trent Reed, Dylan Spencer, Brandon Burns and Blade Bazhaw. Honorary bearers will be great grandsons; Cobin Whitley and Tyler Watson.
