North Lamar Closer to Choosing a New Superintendent
Last night the NL School Board narrowed the search for a new superintendent, to replacing retiring superintendent James Dawson, down to three candidates. Over the next three days, the board will meet with the final candidates and their spouses.
On June 23rd the board will choose one final candidate. The school board then has the option of a site visit to that person’s school district.
At last night’s meeting the board also adopted a budget for the 2014-15 school year and adopted a new lower tax rate of 1.075. This is the ninth straight year that NLISD has lowered their tax rate. They also approved a 25 cent increase to school lunches for all NL campuses.
