NLHS Students to Compete at Region Science Fair

NLHSEleven North Lamar High School students advanced to region after competing in the North Lamar Science Fair.  Winners will compete at the 2014 East Texas Regional Science Fair at Kilgore College on February 28. 

Freshmen who advanced named with their project titles and pictured from left are: Sammy Robinson – “How Fear Changes with Age,” Aaron Norris – “Growth Rate of Quail,” Tyler Baird – “X-Ray Obstruction,” Jacob Roberts – third place with “Turning Water into Energy,” Garrett Clark – “Effects of Waste Products on Crop Growth,” Jessica Driggers – “Audio or Visual Learning,” Jessica Chollett – “Making Recycled Paper,” Ty Rast – second place with “Does Playing Stringed Instruments Affect Finger Length?,” and the senior team of Sam Erickson and Carson Rast who placed first with “SDS-PAGE Analysis of Differing Protein Content in Milk Exposed to Various Heat Treatments.”  Not pictured is freshman Nick Noble whose project is “Iron to Rust.”  Those advancing are students of NLHS biology instructor Teresa Bussell.
