Stone Jr. Crime Stoppers Volunteer at Salvation Army
Members of the Jr. Crime Stoppers from Stone Middle School spent the morning at the Salvation Army assembling items for those in need. With The Salvation Army Corps Officers Lt. Nicholas Hutchison and Lt. Michelle Hutchinson overseeing the projects, the North Lamar students put together approximately 150 packets that included toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant and the like for individuals who come to the shelter for temporary residence. Two hundred and fifty pounds of grapefruit and sweet potatoes were separated and sacked up to be given out through the daily bread line ministry. The young service workers also made cards to be handed out for patients in the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in Bonham, Texas.
