Experiments Earn Region Science Fair Winners from NL
Three Stone Middle School students were named winners after competing at the Region VIII Science Fair. All placed in the Chemical and Physical category.
Eighth grader, Bailey Fowler won first place with her project “Talk Dirty to Me”. Second place winners in their grades were Heather Armstrong (8th grade) with her project “How Much Gas is in Beverages?” and Allison Bright (7th grade) with her project “Bag Wars”.
“The students researched a variety of chemical and or physical properties for these experiments including germs on gas pumps, which bags keep fruits and vegetables freshest, and a comparison of gasses in different beverages,” said 8th grade science instructor John Dickinson. “They have done an exceptional job proving or disproving their hypothesis through experimentation.”
Other Stone science instructors are Shawna Brown (6th), Nicky Charlie (6th & 7th), Jeremy Glossup (8th), Ashley Gross (7th) and Kenny Sanders (7th).
