Calvary Chapel Paris sends supplies to Haiti

haitiMembers of Calvary Chapel Paris were filling a 40-foot container Sunday to have it shipped to Port Au Prince, Haiti.

Three and a half years after their devastating earthquake, the people of Haiti are still living in tent cities and struggling to survive and feed their children.

Partnering with Cross to Light, of California, Calvary Chapel Plano, Calvary Chapel Flower Mound, and receiving donations from local businesses, church members and friends, they were able to fill the container with much-needed supplies.

Once emptied, the 40-foot container will be converted into spaces for the Haitian people to live in.

Donations came from Calvary Chapel Paris members and from Portable Storage Solutions, Cunningham Steel, Paris Lumber, Waste Management, Sanitation Solutions, Toyota of Paris, Lone Star Collision, Suzuki/Kawasaki, Servant’s Heart, The Pregnancy Center, Tots 2 Teens, Back on the Rack, Mike Viehe Jr. from Servpro, Doreen Ruthart from Whitaker Homes, Huhtamaki, Dr. Trenchard, Dr. Calabria and others from within the community.
