East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse seeks tobacco coalition specialist

United WayThe United Way of Lamar County is publicizing that a local non-profit is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Tobacco Coalition Specialist for Lamar and Red River Counties.

This individual will be responsible for coordinating key public relations; conducting tobacco prevention presentations and trainings to identified populations;participating and coordinating implementation of evidenced based strategies and activities focused on environmental strategy, policy or social norm changes to achieve goals as identified within the strategic plan.

Nurses are excellent candidates. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required with excellent public speaking skills, oral/written communication organizational skills, self-motivated with documented managerial skills preferred.

Reliable transportation, with a good driving record is a must.

Flexible work schedule requires some weekends and evenings for community presentations and events.  Travel required.
