As New Hope Center of Paris prepares to move into a new home, the organization has unveiled a new logo.
“All of us at New Hope have worked to build an organization of integrity and trustworthiness,” Director Gay Ballew said. “Our new location with a new logo means fresh new beginnings.”
Local graphic design firm 7th Square Designs created the new logo. Owner Jeff Parish donated his time to help the non-profit rebrand itself.
“Jeff worked numerous hours with us to create this awesome logo for New Hope. We wanted something that would say New Hope Center and represent home, hope, future and joy at a glance,” Ballew said. “We believe Jeff has done just that in his creation. We love the colors and design.”
Ballew said New Hope wanted a symbol to represent the organization and its status as “a safe haven, a home for homeless women and their children, a place to grow and become an independent individual and viable part of a community.”
“I enjoy looking for ways to give back to the community,” Parish said. “I’ve been impressed with the work New Hope staff puts into their program and thought I’d see what I could do to help them.”
The decision comes as renovations get under way on New Hope Center’s new location at 4th Street Southwest and Sherman Street. Ballew expects to be moved in by Christmas.
John Lee, a mentor with Red River Region Business incubator, brought his business and marketing experience to bear in helping to craft the branding and imagery for NHC’s new look. .
“The incubator has been very instrumental,” Ballew said. “We owe R3bi a big thank you for all their help and guidance.”
The new logo is part of an exciting future for New Hope Center, the director said. The RAM Foundation purchased the building being renovated as NHC’s new home. United Way has given money for a new computer lab and beds. The Federal Home Loan Bank has partnered with First Federal Community Bank and Liberty National Bank to provide a grant for appliances in the new center’s laundry and kitchen.
“With a new home, logo, phenomenal staff, involved board members, support of our community, and most importantly, God leading us, we are continuing to move upward, keeping in mind our most important goal is to help those in need and to be the best at what we can offer,” Ballew said.
