With the tax season approaching, United Way of Lamar County is offer free tax preparation in January, February and March to those who qualify.
Don’t pay someone to file your taxes, have an IRS-certified VITA Volunteer Preparer file for you and claim your ENTIRE tax refund.
On January 26, February 2, 9, 16 & 23, and March 2, these VITA Volunteers will be set up at the Oak Park United Methodist Church, 2515 Bonham Street.
You must bring an original copy of your Social Security card (no photocopies accepted), a valid photo I.D., all income documents (W-2′s, 1099′s, etc.), dependent childcare information, the prior year’s tax return, and for direct deposit – a cancelled check or your bank account routing number and account number.
