Activities for the Family this Mother’s Day Weekend

Culbertson Fountain in paris“Keep Paris Artsy” is the new slogan for the Paris Community Theatre and should be embraced by everyone here in Paris.  Our little town has so much to offer in terms of art and culture.

This Mother’s Day weekend the whole family can participate in the 1st Annual Run for the Arts 5K in conjunction with the Paris Art Fair and Kids Safe Saturday on Saturday, May 10, 2014. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Paris Community Theatre.  The 5k race will begin at 8am, followed by a 2 mile walk scheduled to begin at 8:40am.  Registration on the day of the event will begin at 7:30am at the Love Civic Center Pavilion. Or you can pre-register online at or at the PCT Box Office, open Tues-Friday from 10am-3pm.  (Registration form below).

Early registration for 5k runner $20 or day of event $25 (race shirts limited). Early registration for 2 mile walk is $10 or $15 day of the event (t-shirts may be limited). There is a $5 donation requested for all kids participating in either race or walk.  Both the run and the walk are on the Trail de Paris beginning at the trail entrance behind the Love Civic Center Pavilion. There will be race awards for age groups. Each participant will receive a “Keep Paris Artsy” t-shirt.

The family can stay at the Love Civic Center, located at 2025 South Collegiate, the whole day on Saturday and enjoy the Paris Art Fair and Kids Safe Saturday which will have activities from 9am-5pm.  There will be exhibits, kids’ activities, vendors, and of course art.
