Fall registration for the PCT Children & Teen Theatre Classes is this Saturday, Sept. 8th from 11am-1pm at the Brown Centre of Creative Arts (115 Clarksville Street). Fall Classes begin the week of Sept. 10th and end the first week in December. Kids who participate in children’s theatre programs develop self-confidence, public speaking skills, empathy, and just have fun. Classes all available for kindergarten thru high school age —below is a listing of each class.
K & 1st Grade Creative Drama taught by Ashley & Mike Pickering
Introduce your child to the wonderful world of acting through theatre games and experimental dramatic play; includes fall Christmas show and spring skit.
Mike & Ashley Pickering, who have appeared on PCT stage many times, return to teach this class. Mike is a Theatre Major and Ashley teaches middle school Drama for NLISD.
CLASSES are on THURSDAY at 4:15pm-5:15pm.
2nd – 4th Grade Introductory Theatre Skills taught by Alan Jones & Katherine Burns
This Class will introduce the Children to staging, blocking, movements, voice and Theatre skills. Includes Christmas Show and Spring Play.
Katherine Burns is a Teacher at Roxton, and has taught PCT Children’s Theatre for several years. Alan Jones has been in the Entertainment Industry for 40 years. He is the PCT Manager as well as a Director and Actor.
CLASSES are on MONDAY at 5:15pm-6:15pm.
5th-7th Grade Intermediate Theatre Skills & Performance taught by Laura Hutchings
Includes Reader’s Theatre Christmas Show in the Fall and Spring Production for area schools.
Laura Hutchings has a BFA in Theatre Education and has served as the PCT Children’s Theatre Director, as well as being a Teacher of Theatre for over 30 years.
CLASSES are on Mondays OR Tuesdays from 5pm -6pm.
8th Grade & up Teen Theatre taught by Cody Head
Includes Reader’s Theatre Christmas Show in the Fall and traveling Social Theatre in Spring.
Cody Head is returning to PCT to once again teach teen theatre. Cody is a Teacher at North Lamar High School and has a degree from NTSU in Theatre.

Jenny Wilson is a mother of three. She teaches a Mommy & Me class at Central Presbyterian Day School, serves on the PCT Board and Children’s Theatre Advisory Committee, the CAC board, the Parent Association Boards of Aikin, Crockett and PJH and was recently elected to the Paris ISD School Board of Trustees. Mrs. Wilson is a Sunday school teacher at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. She also is a certified yoga instructor, Jazzercise instructor and marketing consultant.
