Celebrating the 4th of July

From the Mommy Desk…

Fireworks, parades, and red, white and blue! Paris has a lot to offer to celebrate our great nation!

Begin your Independence Day celebration on Tuesday evening, July 3rd at Noyse Stadium with music and fireworks.  The Paris Municipal Band concert kicks off the event at 7:30pm, followed by Fireworks display (sponsored by the Rotary Club) at dark (approx. 8:25pm).  Families are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the festivities. You can bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to sit on the field or find a good spot in the stands. Noyes Stadium is located behind the PJC campus on 24th SE Street.

On Wednesday morning, July 4th at 10am in downtown Paris there will be a patriotic Celebrate America parade that the kids will love! Put on your red, white and blue and bring out your family to find the perfect spot to park your lawn chairs (or do it like our family does, in the back of the pick-up truck). Parade starts in historic downtown Paris, goes down Clarksville Street on the south side of the plaza to 12th SE and turns north proceeding back up Lamar Avenue and then back to the Court House parking lot.

God Bless America, Land that I Love!!
