Each Paris Downtown Association member will place their flag in front of their business every morning when they open and will pull them in at night when they close. All you have to do is look for the flags.
“One of the complaints we as business owners have heard is that it’s hard to know who’s open and who is not, especially when after hours events are going on,” said PDA member Robin Weemes of Itsy Bitsy Spider. “This is a great way for people to know who’s open – just look for the flags!”
The flags have been distributed to PDA member just in time for Paris Community Theatre’s Haunted Theatre, which will be open from 5:30 to 9:30 Friday night. Many of the PDA members will be open late for the huge crowd anticipated to visit the haunted house. The flags will let visitors to downtown know which businesses are staying open late.
Many of these businesses will also be selling “Fast Passes” for those wishing to go to the haunted theater without having to wait in long lines. The haunted theater will also be open during Pumpkin Fest and again Halloween night.
“PDA members often stay open late for special occasions such as Halloween and Holiday in Paris. The flags are a neat way for people to see who is staying open late.” Said member Melissa Gordon of Paris Baby.
