PEDC Meeting Tuesday
The Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) will meet on Tuesday, August 12th at 4pm in the Community Room of the Depot, located at 1125 Bonham Street.
First on the agenda is discussion and possible action on PEDC Board members, including Ex-Officio members and staff, to execute a non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement pertaining to any and all information obtained in Executive Session discussion.
The PEDC board has several items on the agenda regarding Defenbaugh & Associates, including an invoice for June, 2014 in the amount of $6,882.50. The board will also deliberate authorizing the Paris City Attorney to release a copy of the Defenbaugh & Associates preliminary/draft report of June 13, 2014 on the PEDC forensic investigation to the Paris City Council (this was a report only given to the city attorney, Kent McIlyar and different from the preliminary report given to PEDC and city council in mid-July).
Members of the PEDC board will also debate what the next steps by the PEDC should be regarding the investigation.
The PEDC Board will also discuss and possibly take action on a future relationship with Attorney Jeff Moore who met with the board last week in closed session to advise the board regarding the “forensic audit” report by Defenbaugh & Associates. The PEDC board will also discuss the invoice(s) submitted by Jeff Moore and his firm Brown & Hofmeister, LLP.
Other items on the agenda to be discussed in Open Session are: Interim Executive Director’s Report; discussion and possible action on tax abatement and Incentive Agreement Compliance, the PEDC policy manual non-solicitation clause for PEDC personnel, amendments to PEDC Bylaws and PEDC contracts. The PEDC board will also discuss and possibly take action on the PEDC line of credit with Capital One, the Executive Director short-list of candidates to be interviewed, the EDSuite invoice for annual license and web hosting and the Interim Executive Director’s attendance at upcoming conferences.
