PEDC Board Meeting Today Swears in New Members, Elects New Officers and Discusses Defenbaugh & Associates Investigation
On the agenda at today’s Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) is the swearing in of two new board members appointed at last night’s city council meeting, Don Wilson and John Brockman.
The PEDC Board will also recognize outgoing board member Vicki Ballard, and vote on new officers for the 2014-15 year.
Discussion of the ongoing PEDC investigation by Defenbaugh & Associates and possible action on the outstanding invoice to the firm is also on the agenda. This invoice in the amount of $21,075 from May has been questioned by some city council members due to the fact that no written reports have been provided to either the PEDC Board or the City Council.
Other items on todays PEDC board meeting agenda include, among other items, discussion and possible action of PEDC’s line of credit with Capital One; receiving a report from the ad hoc committee on the Executive Director Search; discuss and possibly take action on the worker’s compensation quotes; the proposed budget amendments and proposed budget for FY 2014-15; discussion and possible actin on costs to repair roof leaks and the Depot; and to discuss and possibly take action on the Tax Abatement and Incentive Agreement Compliance.
The PEDC Meeting is today at 3pm in the Community Room at the Depot, located at 1125 Bonham Street. It is open to the public.
