The City of Paris would like to invite local citizens and community leaders to come out and show their support on July 7th during a live broadcast on Good Morning Texas “Europe Texas” series.

This series focuses on Texas towns with European names. This is an exciting opportunity for citizens of Paris to be on live television, and promoting our city in a fun, high energy segment.

The City of Paris is encouraging all interested citizens to be at the Plaza in downtown Paris on Monday, July 7, 2014. Good Morning Texas recommends community members be in place by 8:15 a.m. in order to be ready at 9 a.m. when the show airs live.

“We have many opportunities to brag about in Paris.  It would be great to see everyone come out and fill the plaza.” says Cheri Bedford, Main Street Coordinator.  “Groups are encouraged to make signs of poster board, bring  pompoms, and get ready to give a shout out from Paris to everyone across Texas!”

Paige McCoy Smith serves as the on-air personality for Good Morning Texas and will be in downtown Paris and will conduct an interview with Mayor Matt Frierson during the live filming.

Good Morning Texas is a morning show that airs weekdays immediately following Good Morning America on WFAA-Channel 8 (ABC affiliate).

Join the fun, come celebrate Paris.  For more information, please contact the Cheri Bedford @ 902-784-9293
