4H District Shoot a Resounding Success

skeet11-300x200-150x150The 4H District Shoot held last Saturday at the Paris Skeet and Trap was a resounding success.

Dave Robinson, coach and chapter coordinator of the 4H organization at Paris Skeet and Trap, said “Sixty One 4H children and assorted parents, grandparents and siblings showed up Saturday morning for the 4H district shoot at 8 A.M. Some 7 hours and 5500 targets later, they all loaded up and went home, leaving behind some very tired members of Paris Skeet and Trap Club.”

There were children here from 13 counties, boys and girls ranging in ages 8 to 18, in all shapes and sizes. A special note of recognition goes to Paris Skeet and Trap chapter member, Jason Todd, who is 8 years old. What Jason lacks in age and experience, he made up for in heart, finishing first in all categories for his age group.

Lamar County 4H shotgun chapter had 12 kids entered in the shoot. In addition to Jason Todd, award winners were Payden Dorries, Cole Wright, Sam Hawkes, Andrew Fasken, and Cooper Rast.
