The Lamar County Sheriff’s Department continues to search for the robbery suspect that robbed two women at knife point on Thursday in the East Post Oak community and then fled on foot.

The sheriff’s department has released a composite sketch of the suspect and encourages the public with any information on this individual or his whereabouts to please contact the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department at 903-737-2400 or Crime Stoppers at (903) 785-TIPS.

The sketch is not a true depiction of the suspect, only a likeness. The victims described him as a light-skinned black male, approximately 6′ tall or a little taller, 25 to 30 years old with no or very thin facial hair, and a muscular build. His nose was straight with no flare in the nostrils. He has short black hair and a round face, with tattoos covering both arms and a tattoo on the left side of his neck. The victim was adamant about the tattoo on his neck having a lot of red ink in it, authorities said.

On Thursday at around 11 a.m., the sheriff’s department received a call reporting the armed robbery in the East Post Oak community in eastern Lamar County. The suspect allegedly surprised two women as they were on their way into a residence, brandished a knife and demanded money. The two victims complied and gave the suspect money, and he then fled on foot, according to officials.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a short sleeve, pull over type shirt that was orange in color and dark pants, possibly riding a bicycle and armed with a knife.

Please contact law enforcement if you have any information on this person or his whereabouts. The suspect is still at large.
