The Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) Meeting scheduled for tomorrow, June 10th at 3pm has been cancelled due to a lack of a quorum.
The current PEDC board only has four members – Rebecca Clifford, Chair; Stephen Grubbs, Vice-Chair, Vicki Ballard, Secretary/Treasurer and David Turner.
Tomorrow’s cancelled meeting was to include board discussion and possible action on the second invoice from Defenbaugh & Associates in the amount of $21,075. This bill covers work done from May 5-31, despite the lack of a written report. Defenbaugh & Associates is the firm hired by Ms. Clifford to conduct a “forensic investigation” of PEDC.
At a special meeting last week with the city council, Ms. Clifford said that she had received no written reports from Defenbaugh, only verbal, and that the results of the investigation had been turned over to the FBI.
A PEDC special meeting has been scheduled for Monday, June 16th at 5:30pm to hear a presentation from Danny Defenbaugh regarding the findings of the “forensic investigation.” This meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled for the Community Room at the Depot, located at 1125 Bonham Street.
