Rusty Taco shuts down; new restaurant coming soon

Rusty_Taco_slider 2Rusty Taco, located in the Paris Towne Center, has officially closed. As of Tuesday, January 7, owners, Lone Star Restaurants out of Tyler, made the decision to close the location.

A sign on the door reads, “Rusty Taco is closed. New restaurant coming soon! Thank you Paris for your business! See you soon!”

The establishment is now under the new ownership of locals, Earl and Carrie Bethea, who plan to bring in an exciting new eatery, but have not disclosed what restaurant that will be yet.

“We want the new restaurant to be a fun family place where people can eat and hang out,” Carrie Bethea said. “We will not be serving alcohol.”

The new restaurant will serve a variety of foods — not specifically tacos, burgers or sandwiches. There will be some healthy options, as well as gluten free options, Bethea said.

Although no reason for why Rusty Taco closed has been given, under the ownership of Lone Star Restaurants, the business closed at 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

A top to bottom remodel of the location is currently taking place for the new restaurant that is coming under its new ownership.

“We are shooting to open the new place in early February,” Bethea said.
