The winter ice storm that hit Paris two weeks ago today is still impacting local residents and businesses. For one is the golf course at the Paris Golf and Country Club. The management of the PGCC informed its members today that the course is still closed and updated members on their progress.
They have begun the process of removing the broken limbs hanging in the trees. PGCC managment reported that out of 57 trees on the front side of the course, nine needed to be addressed as of this morning. They are hopeful that once these nine trees are taken care of that they can open the front nine holes for golf as soon as possible.
The back 9 certainly poses a bigger problem and will require more man hours, since there are 95 trees that will need to be addressed.
