Paris Golf and Country Club closes golf course due to ice storm damage

The Paris Golf and Country Club announced Saturday that the golf course will be closed until further notice due to ice storm damage.

Extra_Logo_Slider_SizeDebris on the course itself, along with hanging limbs in the trees, pose as a liability and danger if they should fall.

Club officials called for a member work day on Saturday morning from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to help pick up the debris.

Until the course is re-opened, PGCC has advised members that arrangements have been made with the Idabel Country Club, The Ranch in Texarkana and the Mount Pleasant Country Club for PGCC members to play at these courses for only a $15.00 cart fee.

Members should call in advance to arrange tee times.

The Pro Shop at the club is still open and is offering special Christmas sales, including Pro V1 golf balls for $40.00 per dozen and 50 percent off all apparel. The restaurant will remain open during its regular hours.
