New Year, New You; Get in shape with Jazzercise

Each January kicks off the “New Year, New You” season and Jazzercise can help people of all shapes and sizes stick to their fitness resolutions by offering a fun, effective and sustainable workout program.

While there are many options when it comes to fitness, it is important to acknowledge the tried and true workout programs when beginning a new fitness regimen. Jazzercise has been delivering real results for more than 40 years due to its ability to incorporate new fitness techniques, modern music and fresh movements.

JazzerciseEach 60-minute Jazzercise group fitness class offers a combination of dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, cardio box and Latin style movements choreographed to today’s current hit music. Customers can burn up to 600 calories in 60 minutes.

“We put a premium on providing our customers with a fun and effective total body workout,” said Jazzercise instructor Kristina Courson. “Every Jazzercise class offers a motivating workout environment, quality instruction and innovative choreography.”

There is no previous dance experience required and instructors demonstrate modifications so customers can always work at their own pace.

Jazzercise would like to offer a few tips when beginning a new workout program:

  • Find a fitness program that you enjoy. Research shows people stick to a workout program when they actually enjoy it.
  • To sustain your weight and/or fitness level, work out a minimum of three times a week. To change your body and improve your fitness level, work out a minimum of four-five times per week.
  • Workout with a friend. Either recruit an existing friend to attend class with you or make a new one in class.
  • Schedule your workouts in advance. Put them on your schedule with all your weekly appointments/commitments and you are more likely to make the time.
