The Urban Adventure Race, a new and unique fundraiser benefitting the United Way has been postponed until further notice. The facebook page for the event, originally slated for October 6, announced yesterday “Unfortunately due to circumstances outside our control the United Way Urban Run is postponed until further notice. Please stand by for more information.”
Stephen Gerrald, chairman for the 2012 United Way fundraising effort this year, told eParis that the event was postponed due to illness of the Urban Adventure Race’s event coordinator.
The Urban Adventure Race is modeled somewhat after the hit reality TV show The Amazing Race where teams race through an urban setting solving puzzles and challenges that ultimately point the way to an undisclosed finish line. The local version was to begin at the Fairgrounds and then spread out through Paris.
Stay tuned for the new date as this concept should be an exciting new fundraiser for United Way.
