The month of October brings a lot of pink & national Breast Cancer Awareness

The full month of October is officially the ‘Pink’ month — more specifically, Breast Cancer Awareness Month — and you can bet that Paris Texas will be ‘painted’ with the color and spotted with many of the signature ‘pink ribbons’, along with all the Halloween colors and decor.

The color and the signature ribbon is to signify awareness for breast cancer patients and survivors, and there have been and will be many events to raise funds for the cause.

Several companies in the community are donating a portion of their profits during the month to foundations supporting Breast Cancer Awareness and the finding of a cure.

Our Eiffel Tower was colored pink with its lights on Tuesday, October 2, for the 1st Step to kickoff the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

There will be many more events coming soon in support of the awareness, including the ‘Party on the Plaza’ after the Paris Antique Fair, featuring Women Rock, Inc. and Sisters on the Fly — two fun-filled awareness groups.

More to come about coming events on the eParis Extra!

Keep those with Breast Cancer and their friends and family members close to your heart, prayers and thought.
