Paris Independent Bikers sponsor a Christmas celebration at Paris Healthcare Center

“We wanted to sponsor a Christmas Celebration at Paris Healthcare Center because many other Motorcycle Groups are doing Toy Drives for children during Christmas,” stated Terri Jimmerson, Secretary for Paris Independent Bikers.  “We support Toy Drives also, but for this celebration, we wanted to turn our attention to the elderly.”

“Paris Independent Bikers is a family oriented motorcycle riding club, and there are so many residents at Nursing Homes who do not have families, making Christmas just another lonely day for them,” she continued.

This year’s inaugural ‘Nursing Home Christmas celebration’ took place on December 15.  The group hopes to make this an annual event for the Christmas season.  Next year they will choose a different nursing home to sponsor.

Santa Claus came to the event to give the residents gifts, and there was a group of Christmas Carolers who sang in Christmas celebration.
