In response to awful tragedy that took place at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, a Support Fund has been set up by United Way so that funds can be donated towards the support of the victims that were involved.
According to National School Public Relations Association Regional Vice President Sandy Dzija Vaughan, the school district has requested that all donations be made through the United Way of Western Connecticut.
In response, United Way of Western Connecticut, in partnership with Newtown Savings Bank, has created the ‘Sandy Hook School Support Fund’ that will be able to provide support services to the families and community that has been affected.
