Final Weekend of PCT’s “A Man for All Seasons”

TheatrePlaza

Paris Community Theatre is proud to announce the opening of the classic Robert Bolt drama, A Man for All Seasons. Sponsored by First Federal Community Bank, the production runs January 25-27, 31 & February 1-3, 2013, in downtown Paris at the Plaza Theatre.

Sir Thomas More’s main antagonist is Thomas Cromwell, who is determined to bring More down. He has character traits that are the opposite of More’s, and Richard Rich and The Duke of Norfolk help Cromwell achieve his goal. Alice is strongly opposed to Sir Thomas decision and wants him to do what the King asks him to do so that they can just live their life as in the past. The climax begins when Alice, Margaret and Will Roper visit More in jail and Alice begins to accept More’s behavior. At the trial, once he is condemned, More changes from being silent to eloquently expressing how he thinks.
Directed by Ray Karrer, A Man for All Seasons is a moving story about one man’s fight for his beliefs and the price he must pay for his convictions.
