Looking for something new, fun and different to do on a Saturday night and support a great cause too? Then be sure to get your tickets for the 2nd Annual Karaoke Night benefiting the Paris Community Theatre.
This unique, casual fundraiser will be on Saturday, April 26 from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Depot, located at 1264 South Main.
Complimentary hor’ douvres will be offered, and there will be a cash bar (over 21 only). There will also be a live auction. Items to be auctioned include PCT season tickets, a reader’s theatre dinner for six, Paris Bakery Pizza Night gift certificate, free yoga classes at the PCT Centre and much, more.
But the main attraction will be the Karaoke singing. Come out and listen to your friends and neighbors take the mike, or perhaps you will find yourself on stage.
Since the late 1970s, PCT has been a cultural cornerstone of Paris. The historical Plaza Theatre was purchased in downtown Paris on the square in 1981 and was renovated in 1985. Each year, PCT produces six plays, including at least one musical and a Christmas production. Next season, PCT will also produce two “Off Plaza” plays, host the annual Haunted Theatre tours, and sponsor two Community Choir concerts.
The Paris Community Theatre receives no funds from the city, the state or the federal government. PCT is wholly supported by ticket sales, individual donations and corporate business sponsorships.
PCT is a true gem to Paris, Texas. Come out to sing on Saturday, April 26, or just to applaud those who do and raise much needed funds for the Paris Community Theatre. Great prizes have been donated and will be awarded to singers — whether individuals or groups. The Grand Prize is to “open” for a concert at That Guy’s Coffee Listening Room. Eddie Clement will be the emcee at Karaoke Night.
Advance tickets to the event are $15 and may be purchased by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling the PCT box office at 903.784.0259. All funds raised go to support PCT. Karaoke Night is sponsored by Cypress Home Health.
