October 12th-13th 2012
Paris Texas Antique Fair
570 E. Center St. Paris Texas 75460

Fun, Food, and Fabulous Antiques!

The 2nd Annual Paris Texas Antique Fair, hosted by Two Rivers Antiques owner, Janet Green and daughter, Sara Norris, will be held at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds on October 12th & 13th, 2012 in Paris, Texas. The pair has traveled far and wide to bring you a great selection of HAND PICKED Antique Dealers.

The fair will feature a variety of quality antiques, one of a kind treasures and very unique finds, as well as vintage clothing, jewelry, and linens. Along with fabulous antiques, they will offer free parking, delicious homemade food from  Leona’s Cafe, yummy desserts from Southern Sweets Bakery, wine from Paris Vineyards and That Guy’s Coffee.

To provide the ladies with a more enjoyable shopping experience, FREE Husband parking with a big screen TV will be available once again this year.

You can also join us for our version of “ANTIQUE ROADSHOW”.  For just $5.00, if you can carry it in, you can bring up to 3 items to be appraised by Denton’s own Georgia Caraway.  Ms. Caraway was executive director of the Denton County Museum, writes a monthly column on antiques for the Denton Record-Chronicle, and has appeared on the “real” Antique Roadshow as a generalist expert. Her book, Tips, Tools & Techniques, will also be available at the Antique Fair.  So check in the attic, under the bed, or ask Aunt Tillie and see if you have a ”real treasure” or “just old stuff”.

Admission for the Antique Fair is $3.00 with children under 12 free.  A portion of the gate proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Awareness group, Women Rock Inc.  Their mission is to increase awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer through proper screening tools and to help provide mammograms to those in need.  You won’t be able to miss their Hot Pink Vintage Fire Truck at the gate!

Another treat this year will be the Vintage Trailer Tours hosted by Sisters on the Fly! They will have 35 decorated trailers for your viewing pleasure, as well as a quilt raffle to raise funds for the Sister’s cause, Casting for Recovery.  The “SISTERS” help fund these healing and therapeutic fly-fishing retreats for breast cancer patients and survivors so that they can attend at no cost.

You will also have the opportunity to visit “HISTORIC DOWNTOWN PARIS” as the Paris Downtown Association and Two Rivers Antiques host “A Party on the Plaza” from 7-10 PM. Fri. night. There will be late night shopping with the participating stores providing free food and drink while you browse.  Join Sisters on the Fly and Women Rock Inc. for a tour of one of their Vintage Trailers and Hot Pink Fire Truck as they listen & dance to Live Music on the Plaza, provided by Folk n’ Roll Music.

So come as you are or come as the “Sisters” with your Petticoats, Hats and Boots and enjoy an “Evening on the Plaza”.  Come spend the day or the weekend and see why Paris, Texas is a great place for Antiques, Boutiques, Good Eats, and More!
