Josh Allen, Managing Editor Born in Dallas 1988, the Millennial generation youth started as a photographer and journalist in 2011, taking over as the Managing Editor in January 2012. Hobbies include an array of art, reading, family, friends and fellowship, and most notably music. He is a musician & audio engineer, studying at Mediatech Institute in Dallas, where he graduated in 2010. He’s been on tour all around the world — playing in places such as Japan, Singapore, other parts of Malaysia, Costa Rica, Diego Garcia, and the U.S. — as a contract guitarist from the ages 18-21. A love for writing led him to the Extra! and the fortunate opportunity of meeting and working with Extra! founder Greg Wilson. An active member of the community, serving as an executive board member for the New Hope Center Women’s Shelter of Pars, as well as participating in Leadership Lamar County. He is the Business Development Director at Legacy Corporate Mgmt. Group. Greg Higgins, Sports Editor Greg has lived in the Paris area for most of his life and is a huge sports fan. He loves talking about sports and writing about it. Nick Murillo, Staff Writer Nick Murillo is a contributing writer to eParisExtra. Originally from Paris, Texas, he graduated from Paris High School and completed his first year of undergraduate coursework at Paris Junior College. He went on to graduate from the University of North Texas with a B.A. in Literature and most recently earned a Master of Education degree from Texas A and M University – Commerce. Alfredo Dizon, Columnist A graduate from the University of North Texas, with a Bachelor’s in English and a minor in Japanese, Alfredo seeks to use his media skills as a vehicle to grow interest and discussion in topics of fascination, intrigue, and oddity related to the field of technology. Throughout his life, he has immersed himself in all facets of “geek culture” and “nerdom,” from video games and cosplay, to the latest in peculiar science and gadgets. These hobbies highlight his desire to explore and expose these growing industries to a greater audience, and also this stuff is just too weird to not write about.
Jeff Parish, Staff Writer Jeff Parish joined eParis Extra! in October 2011. He has served as a reporter and copy editor for the Greenville Herald-Banner, Dallas Morning News, The Paris News, and Galveston County Daily News, as well as managing editor of the Rockwall County Herald-Banner and Royse City Herald-Banner. A community journalist, Parish has covered business, city and county government, school districts, crime and just about everything in between. He has also served as a communications specialist for Bell Helicopter and EnergyScout. Since 2009, Parish has worked as a high school English teacher. He is a published author, with debut novel Jennings Grove out since May 2012 from Graveside Tales. His second book, a collection of short stories entitled Where the Sun Don’t Shine, is due out from Belfire Press soon. Parish is also owner of the graphics design business 7th Square Designs, located at the Red River Region Business Incubator. He and wife Melinda have three children: Tiffany, Ian and Robert.

Tim Taylor, Wildcat Sports Contributor, Tim Taylor teaches audio/video production at Paris High, is the sponsor of BlueTube, the school’s weekly video news magazine, and manages the school website. He has a journalism degree from SMU and previously served as a writer/editor at the Dallas Times Herald, Colorado Springs Sun, and Memphis Commercial Appeal.
