Rides for a Reason has tons of fun scheduled on Saturday, September 22 – Featuring live local music favorites

Tomorrow is a day for fun and festivities in Paris Texas.

Starting with the Dylan’s Drivers first annual Rides for a Reason benefit at the Love Civic Center, fundraising for their worthy cause of providing free and safe rides to those who have consumed alcoholic beverages.

All the fun begins at early 8am with a 5K Fun Run/Walk — themed ‘Running for a Reason’ — and a competitive softball tournament — ‘Rounding Bases for a Reason’.  The softball tournament could potentially start on Friday night depending on the number of teams entered — teams will be notified.

Then at 10am, ‘Rumbling for a Reason’ and shiny with fresh wax jobs, the collector/classic/muscle cars will roll to the civic center for a top-notch car show.

Starting at 11am there will be a Memorial Bike Ride for the motorcycles.

After all these cars, motorcycles, ball bats & gloves, and running, everyone is bound to be hungry. Starting at noon (12pm), the hamburger cook-off and tailgate party — ‘Cooking for a Reason’ — will provide premiere hamburgers for everyone.

Just wait.  That’s not all.  Ongoing throughout the entire event there will be a stage featuring some of the favorite local musicians and bands in the area: Michael O’Neal, Pearl Street Riot, the Done Deals, the Draggin’ Man Band, Max Jones, and more!  This is a superb lineup of local talent, you won’t want to miss.

Also, while the music is playing and all the folks are enjoying the festivities, there will be opportunity to enjoy a Beer Goggle Golf Cart obstacle course, face painting, bounce house for the kids, and much, much more!
